The Choir is led by an outstanding young Musical Team, the baton in the talented and capable hands of Alex Esney-
The aim of the choir is still to enjoy singing together, give pleasure to its audiences and along the way raise tens of thousands of pounds for local and national charities some of which are listed below.
The ladies are very proud of their fundraising, particularly in recent years when they have adopted a charity that was particularly close to their hearts. In 2012/2013 period £16,500 was raised for the Teenage Cancer Trust which culminated in a concert featuring Rhydian Roberts of X Factor fame.
During 2014/2015 the ladies adopted Calon + charity supporting the Cardiac Rehabilitation Department at Prince Philip Hospital helping local people who have experience major cardiac or respiratory problems. As well as various fundraising activity, this time they invited the world famous tenor Paul Potts to perform with them and £10.000 was raised.
Further afield we have visited Brighton as guests of Brighton Welsh Male Voice Choir, Bournemouth as guests of the Bournemouth Police Male Voice Choir, and to our good friends in Tamworth in particular Tamworth Male Voice (pictured below).
We have also sung in several UK Cathedrals such as Exeter, Wells and our own St. Davids Cathedral in Pembrokeshire.
In 2002 a contingent of the choir travelled to Barbados to take part in a Celtic Festival and a traditional Welsh Gymanfa Ganu (a hymn singing festival). We followed close on the heels of a Scottish Pipe Band and Irish Dancers! Quite an experience.
